Updated to matrix version 1.02. Designed for 3x3 team game or h2h play.Playing with EA on will of course increase the degree of difficulty and is suggested for veteran players. VV should not be used.First, I would like to offer special thanks to Steve"von Niemack" for his invaluable help with the OOB's. Also, his expertise was most helpful in finalizing the existing map. The 1st Tank Army had been held in reserve and was supposed to lead the Russian counter attack in this sector. However, the inexorable advance by the 4th Pz Army has forced the commitment of many of the 1st Tank Army assets as reinforcements in other threatened areas. The IISS Pz Corps has been forced to move to the right towards their date with destiny at Prokhorovkha. In an attempt to achieve the breakthrough and link with Gen Model's Ninth Army Gen Hoth has ordered the 48th Pz Corps to advance towards Oboyan. The 1st Tank Army has been given one order. "The enemy must not reach Oboyan" The fate of the battle of Kursk will indeed be decided on "The Road to Oboyan"

My reason for well balanced although i got a major win was i didnt think my opponent played at his best in this one.No disrespect to my opponent i KNOW he can play better.I really dont want to say anything about the scenario unless i give away information about it.But if you want a good tactical one with plenty of armour play it its great.

A big one .. best as a teamgame. Seemed a bit pro-Soviet .. but .. maybe we Axis stunk it up ! Good feel for the Soviet numerical superiority.

When playing Allied side against a "play for the points" German player a draw back in this scenario design is the possibility that the German side quickly take VP points then go on the defensive for a minor win. This goes against the spirit of the game as the Germans are trying to push through off the map but possible (NOTE: this did not happen in this game as the Germans tried their best to push through to the end). This is why I rate the game as Moderately Pro Axis.

Wrote about this one before. Another Earlmann classic, very exciting to play, but challenging for the Russian player. For the German player lots of frustration at the amount of fast T-34's they have to contend with.

The scenario is very poorly conceived, IMHO. As is common in CS games, the Axis has it all going for them. The Axis jumps out in front and can obtain a Major Victory with ease, and then it is up to the Soviet player to take it away from him.

The exit VL hexes are for show only...the battle is set up for the German player to secure a few VLs then defend against Russian wave attacks

It seems the Reds have more firepower now with the latest version Earl put together.

Axis need to grab bridges as quickly as possible. Soviets need to concentrate forces and play cat & mouse.
