Krasnogorodka, 15km SW of Medvin, 160km S of Kiev: [Best played against Human opponent] With nearly seven divisions surrounded in the Korsun (Cherkassy) pocket, the Fuehrer's Headquarters insisted that the 3rd Panzer Corps launch a relief attack along the high ground to the north of Medvin, then wheel east to annihilate the Soviet forces between them and the pocket. It was a good plan but it did not take into account the four intervening Russian tank corps and the thick mud of the rasputitsa (muddy season). It wasn't 1941 anymore and the Russian tankers were not going to just step aside! The panzer corps launched its attack on the 4th of February lead by a phalanx of Tigers and Panthers of Baeke's Heavy Panzer Regiment. As the panzers pushed northwards from Chaplinka through the thick mud, Baeke's leading Panthers and reconnaissance platoons were engaged by the reinforced Soviet 51st Tank Brigade/3rd Tank Corps near Krasnogorodka. Determined to punch a hole through the Red armor, Baeke's orders were given without hesitation: "Tigers Forward!"

The extreme assault rules tip the balance in favor of the Allies.
Kool Kat
Nice armor and infantry OOBs for both sides. A classic!

Well Balanced, tough conditions in the mud.
Big Ivan
Tough going in the mud. But the large number of Panthers and Tigers gives the Germans an edge.

Usually, scenarios with this many Tigers and Panthers in the German OOB are fairly pro-Axis due to their long-range direct fire capabilities. In Tigers Forward, however, the muddy terrain severely impacts Axis mobility. In combination with a short timeline, the mud makes the scenario much more fair for the Allied player, as it forces the Axis player to take risks with hit tanks. Almost impossible to achieve a major victory as Axis. Recommend play with AF off.
