Near Sadki, NW of Yelnia, 60km SE of Smolensk: [Best played against Human opponent] In July of 41 Soviet General Zhukov was removed from his post as chief of the Red Armies general staff and assigned command of Bogdanov’s Reserve Front west of Moscow and given the mission of rubbing out the Yelnia Salient. During the early morning hours of August 30th the attack was launched against the German infantry divisions holding the Yelnia area while their armored formations drove south to secure the Ukraine. Leading the attack from the north, the Russian 102nd Tank Division advanced against the German 137th Infantry Division at Sadki northwest of Yelnia. The Russian Objective was to drive through and cut the Smolensk-Yelnia rail line. From there the Soviets could continue south and cut off three German divisions. Zhukov had a lot to teach the German Army.

Mobile Soviets can dash about the board while Axis has to defend numerous VP sites.
A Russian made this scenario. You'll need to be a Russian to enjoy it.
