[Best played H2H]Leuwiliang, Java: After successfully thwarting the Japanese attempts to cross the Tjianten River, all day on March 2nd, the Allied "Blackforce" knew, if the Japanese remained true to form, that an attempt to cross will be made in the night. From Allied ABDA HQ at Bandung, virtually hysterical demands to hold at all costs were being received by all radios in range...and that the counterattack at Sabang had not gained the fruits expected, all of this effecting morale one way or the other. The men of "Blackforce" were holding on but replacements were nonexistant and expected reinforcements were meager. Morale remained good overall, yet on the southern part of the line the provisional regiment of Malayan and Singapore survivors was getting edgy and very tired of this game, they had seen it before. On the other side of the River, Japanese MGen Nasu is growing impatient and has received urgent comments from higher up the command chain regarding "The Emperor's Anxiety" and how it must be relieved and how the advance to Bandung must not be delayed any more. First he orders the 2nd Recon Rgt to begin moving south toward Cianton, to look for another crossing of the Tjianten. Then he orders Col Hiroyasu to throw his 16th Regiment across the river. Before the full light of dawn...Hiroyasu does.
Not enough Japanese engineers and smoke.
Not enough larger artillery support.
No bridges or hex sides that armor can use to get near the enemy.
It may be historically accurate. It's not balanced for H2H play.
Not enough larger artillery support.
No bridges or hexsides that armor can use to get near the enemy.
