Matrix PBEM Scenario: Java..As early as March 2nd the Japanese Nasu Detachment had advanced as far as the vicinity of Leuwiliang. The main bridge was in the process of being destroyed by Australian engineers belonging to Brigadier General A.S. Blackburn's "Blackforce" division, when the first light tanks of the IJA 2nd Reccon Regiment showed up on the western shores of the Tjianten river which cut through the city.With the Japenese Engineers of Nasu Detatchment already holding the western half of the city, Colonel Hiroyasu sent infantry loaded trucks straight into the the hail of shells from the hidden Texan National Gaurd artillery battery high on the hills of East Leuwiliang. Special mention must be made of Lieutenant Tim Brettingham-Moore, a young law student who took command of Black Forces 2/3rd MG Battalion's troops after all three senior officers were captured by the Japanese. He was awarded the Military Cross for his gallant leadership during the Battle of Leuwiliang.

This is a real nail-biter. British, Dutch & an American Artillery unit attempt to stop a Japanese assault on Java in 1942. Very exciting, lots of desperate combat from turn one till the end. Armor, trucks, infantry and artillery in a jungle setting. A must play for any Rising Sun fan.
