Samarinda, Borneo: The Japanese conquest of Borneo continues
unabated. The major oil center of Balikpapan, on the southeast
coast, was occupied without a fight, the Dutch forces retreating
north to Samarinda. After the capture of Balikpapan City, the
Japanese advanced north, in two columns, "mopping up the remaining
Dutch troops in the vicinity of Samarinda".

Very cool scenario. It came down to the wire in a photo finnish. 2nd line Japanese with only one leader and iffy reinforcements against a decent Dutch force and tough objectives.
This scenario is just another example that Extreme Assault should be used. Without it, the Dutch will eventually get overrun especially when playing against a seasoned Japanese player.
