Mount Butler, 5km E of Victoria, Hong Kong: [Best played as Axis] By mid-December 1941, the collapse of the Gin Drinker's line on the Kowloon Peninsula had forced the Commonwealth garrison to fall back to Hong Kong Island. However, despite the November arrival of two Canadian infantry battalions, there was little hope of defending the Crown Colony with the forces available to General Maltby. During the night of December 18th the Japanese 38th Division was able to cross Lye Mun Passage against little opposition and by the next morning the leading battalion of the 229th Infantry Regiment was pushing forward intent on capturing the Tai Tam Reservoir, just south of Mount Butler. Waiting along the bolder covered northern slopes were the poorly equipped Canadian 1st Winnipeg Grenadiers with instructions to hold the Japanese advance at all costs. Following an intense mortar barrage, Japanese soldiers fixed bayonets and prepared to drive the enemy from their positions and clear the mountain pass. For many of the inexperienced Canadian rearguard their first battle would also be their last!

Allied forces are only fixed for a certain period.
Very small map- not enough room for in-depth strategy
