Hill 208, an Oasis deep in the desert south of Sollum: (best played as the Axis) Having succeeded in pushing units of the 15th Panzer Division out of Musaid and capturing Fort Capuzzo on the afternoon of the 15th , the 7th Armored Division in a bold move, waited till dark then detached battle group two, composed of the 7th Armored brigade, equipped with the new Crusader Mark II tank, and a battalion of motor infantry to drive deep into the desert south-west of Sollum and then sweep north into the rear of the 5th Light Division, outflanking and completing the encirclement of Rommel’s two armored divisions. Standing in the way of this advance, holding the southern most outpost in the German Sollum line at hill 208, was a lone isolated Oasis Company. For Battle Group II to succeed in the move to out flank the two panzer divisions this mere speck on the map had to fall. Thus on the morning of the 16th the fate of the Afrika Korps hung in the balance as a young lieutenant commanding a force barely larger than a company in strength and a single flak 88 held his little Island in a sea of sand against the might of the 7th Armored Brigade.
