As part of operation Attrition the Arras brige crossing was one of bloodiest and most difficult for Patton's 3rd army as they came up against the defense of "the most heavily fortified part of West Wall, built 1936 following remilitarization of Rhineland, 40 forts per 1000 yards with 5-foot concrete roofs.
The engages started in Sept and Oct. 9 saw the batte for Fort Driant at Metz which was the 1st defeat of Patton's 3rd Army.
The object for the US is to cross the bridge and take Trier.

Allies need to be aware that the two main bridges can be blocked by destroyed units preventing them from scoring any victory.
Restrictive terrain that allows two avenues of attack. Allies should take care and take their time. Allied forces are numerous but the terrain forces high density of their units. If you like a killing game with limited options then this game is for you.
