south of Belgrade, Yugoslavia: Elements of German General Von Kleist's 1st Panzer Group "race" north, from the Nis area, toward Belgrade. Other German units are closing in on the Yugoslavian capital from the east and the north. As Von Kleist's panzers arrive on the southern outskirts of the city they "encounter" an ad hoc Yugoslavian force "hopelessly" trying to stem the German advance. The Yugoslavian army, now, barely exists, desertions are rampant. Belgrade surrenders on the evening of 11 Apr.
