Then, LVIII corps would recross the Ourthe River and concentrate before the Americans could establish a blocking line.Through the night of the 20th, Kampfgruppe Bayer sneaked past Task Force Orr, north of Dochamps, and advanced all the way to Soy. On the morning of December 21, The 116. Panzer Division, "Windhund," was the most most advanced of all German units driving west. All that lay between Kampfgruppe Bayer and the Hotton bridgehead was the 3rd Armored CCR reserve and parts of the 51st Engineer battalion...
