Corinth Canal, Greece: [This is a semi-historical sequel to the scenario 'Fallschirmjager at Corinth', a 'what if' scenario.; designed for play vs. human opponent] With the completion of the lightning-swift German operation to seize the Corinth Canal bridge, it became vital for the Germans to reinforce the bridgehead if they were to hold it. The Allied commanders knew that German forces around the bridge were still relatively weak, so they decided to roll the dice. With all available units of the 2nd Armoured Division, they launched a a strong counterattack with the goal of capturing the bridge, thus re-establishing the Allied front on the northern bank of the canal. Help was on the way for the lightly-armed Fallschirmjager, however, in the form of the forward elements of the 15th Panzer Division.
