Having their ground force significantly strenghtened Germans were ready to go on offensive, The first task was to secure the flanks. Between 12th and 14th April main bulk of Norwegian 1st Brigade was driven into Sweden by swift operation of German 196 Infantry Division. At the same time commander of the 3rd Brigade in Kristiansand area also surrendered without a single round beeing shot.
