Guderian's Blitzkrieg - The Matrix Games version of West Front

[Historical, best played against human opponent] Location : 25 kms south of Sedan. After the river Meuse was crossed by the spearheads of Guderian's panzergruppe, the 2nd Panzer Division was sent west with orders to keep pursuing the fleeing French. In order to guard the southern flank of that move the "Grossdeutschland" Infanterie regiment (Attached to 1st panzer division) was ordered to seek out any French forces moving north and block them! Géneral Gransard, commanding the French 10th Corps, realised that the breach at Sedan had to be closed as soon as possible. If not, the French (and British forces) would stand no chance against the mobile german attacks. He ordered an immediate counterattack with the units in the area. To help in this attack, GHQ had released three tank batallions (of 504iéme Brigade) to bolster the attack. But when the first troops reached their assigned positions (4 hours later than planned) it found that the staging area was already overrun by the Germans, so an immediate counterattack with all available troops was undertaken.
