Hell's Highway - The Matrix Games version of West Front

This (very) long scenario depicts the operation Market Garden from its beginning on 17 september 1944, about noon till 25 september, noon. On the allied side, 1st Airborne Corps ( consisting of the 1st British Airborne Division and the American 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions) has the task to take and secure the vital bridges for the advancing XXX Corps (consisting of the Guards Armoured Division, the 43rd Wessex ( Infantry ) Division, including the Dutch 'Prinses Irene Brigade' at start and the 50th Northumbrian Infantry) Division brought in as reinforcements to protect the left flank). The right flank is protected by the advance of VIII Corps (11 Arm. and 3rd Inf. Divisions). The operations of this corps are also known as 'Battle in the shadow'. At the German side, the II SS Panzer Corps, 1st Parachute Army, 15th Army and Kampfgruppe 'von Tettau' (to the west of the 1st Airb. Div.) are involved.
