This is a night scenario, so be practiced up on the use of starshells. However, it should be noted that the scenario is named HOLD UNTIL RELIEVED. There is no relief for the Germans. At least in our playing of this scenario. Turn 14 is the schedule for the release of the German reinforcements. After completing the 40 turn game German troops were not released. So the Germans were relegated to the initial defense force on the beach. Those forces were greatly outnumbered. So, it did not take long for my opponent Yossarian to neutralize and then eliminate my beach forces. We played through this one just to be able to report the results for future players. It was a drag going through 40 turns with no troops to move. But I wanted to see if the troops would ever be released. I even gave my opponent the co-ordinance of my frozen troops. Just, so he could attack them. We wanted to see if that action might trigger their release. He did attack but that did not release these troops. So, you are aware of what might be just a fluke happening or designed into the scenario. If its the latter your in for a very boring game.
