The struggle for the bridges at Nijmegen and Arnhem during operation 'Maket - Garden'. In this (very) historical scenario, both Allied and German forces are trying to (re)conquer a vital bridge over a major river (Waal at Nijmegen and Rhine at Arnhem respectively) during Market - Garden. At the same time that John Frosts' para Battalion at Arnhem has to give up the Arnhem bridge after several days of heavy fights, elements of the 82nd All American Airborne division and the British Guards Armoured division are capturing the railway- and highway bridges over the Waal at Nijmegen. The total result is called a 'Hollow Victory' (after R. Kershaws' "It never snows in September").

All-in-all I found it to be a decent scenario, I liked it. If you go beyond 100 turns the overwhelming allied troops coming in will overtake the bridge and completely clear the Germans off the map.
We went 112 turns. That's when the Allies came in massive numbers with tanks and infantry overtook the bridge and dissected the German troops to a small force retreating from all positions. If the battle would have continued the allies would have taken over the whole map.
