Brunete 24km West of Madrid.[Best played H2H] During the night of the 5-6th of July, Lister's 11th Division infiltrated through the thinly held Nationalist Line occupied by elements of the Nationalist 71st Division and at dawn were close to Brunete. At dawn the Republic launched its full strength at a narrow front north of Brunete aiming to link up with the 11th Division, then moving southeast, cut off the Nationalist forces beseiging Madrid. [This scenario represents the first 3 days of the battle. 12 turns represents a day. Each turn represents about one and a quarter hours, actually more than that during the heat of the day and less in the cool morning and evening. Supply for the Republicans was terribly restricted in the begining of the operaton slowing down operations, and creating ammo and water shortages in the blazing heat of the Spanish summer.] See your side's scenario breifing text file for restictions on use of airstrikes.

Cumbersome battle, with the allies dispersed into isolated pockets on a big map. Kind of fun, but not much chance of winning.
