(Version 1.0 25-12-2003) After the German offensive on the southflank of the Bulge had bogged down in the face of stiff resistance by the 12th Regiment, various units of the 9th and 10th Armored Division, the 5th Infantry Division was ordered to start a counter offensive to drive the Germans back over the Sauer. After a few probe attacks on 22nd of December, the attack started seriously on 24 December 1944 with all Regiments involved. Facing the Americans where the 276th Volksgrenadier Division and the 212th Volksgrenadier Division, not nearly at full strength anymore, but dug in well in favorable terrain. Additional information is included in the attached textfile containing chapter XX of Hugh Cole's "The Ardennes: Battle Of The Bulge". The scenario's map file may serve well as a reference while reading this chapter.

This is an excellent historical scenario; very detailed OB, on an excellent, accurate map. A great depiction of the hard fighting on the southern shoulder of the Bulge.
