Jupiter's Flank - The Matrix Games version of West Front

Hill 112, 10km Southwest of Caen, France: On the morning of July 10th, while the British 129th Infantry Brigade assaulted the summit of Hill 112, the 7th Seaforth Highlanders Battalion, of the 46th Infantry Brigade, 15th Infantry (Scottish) Division, moved out to secure the village of Les Mesnil and the southern approaches to the Carpiquet Airfield to the north. Supporting the 7th Seaforths were elements of the 7th Royal Tank Regiment of the 31st Tank Brigade. The initial advance slogged along until the orchards south of Les Mesnil. At this point the Seaforths ran headlong into the outpost line of the 3rd Battalion, 2nd SS Panzergrenadier Regiment, 1st SS Panzer Division. The 1st SS Division, later reinforced by Tigers from the 102nd SS Heavy Panzer Battalion, dominated this area and fought tenaciously to hold Les Mesnil and the surrounding terrain.
