Lightning from the Skies - The Matrix Games version of West Front

Town of Drvar, Yugoslavia (best played H2H) Operation Rößelsprung has begun!! The SS Fallschirmjäger Battalion 500 has been tasked with capturing the Yugoslavian Partisan-Marshall Tito. This (the seventh) major offensive against the well-equipped Yugoslavian partisans has led to the town of Drvar. Deep in the mountains of Yugoslavia, the SS Fallschirmjäger will drop in with support from the 13th SS Mountain Division and the 202 Beute-Panzer Battlion. Opposing them are the NOVJ Security Forces defending Drvar and Comrade Tito from capture, though many patrisan groups are in the area. Once the paras hit Drvar, the partisans' desperate radio pleas for assistance are answered with several formations of partisan and Chetnik troops . My thanks to Steve Wyckmans again for finding such great OOB info:-) DESIGNER NOTES: The Yugoslav forces are fixed for the first turn to simulate the complete surprise the Germans acheived with this airborne operation. However, the Germans were not prepared for the ferocity of the defense, and I have reflected this in the higher morale of the Yugoslav forces. I also took a few liberties with the Yugoslav force composition as information on exact numbers was a little sketchy at best.
