Luttich#2: Barthelemy sector - The Matrix Games version of West Front

St. Barthelemy- Road Junction 278. 2 Kms north Mortain, Normandy. H2H. Historical scn. Luttich Pack #2. Map size is reworked in a 2:1 proportion to obtain more details on combat area. The road Junction 278 located just 2 Kms from north of L´Abbaye Blanche and Mortain was marked in the German Operational maps as a main point to lead their armor units movement to west. The Americans units knew the importance of this road junction so, the Lt. Col. Johnson´s 117th Infantry Regt was ordered to hold the position and the village of St.Barthelemy. The Americans built up a strong blockroad in this village with 57mm AT guns from the weapons Company. The only road from there to the west were held by infantry of 117th Rgt. German effort in this sector was assigned to Weidinger´s Panzergrenadiers from Der Fuhrer Rgt.
