Although the encirclement of Tebourba yielded not the expected results, it did push the Allies back further to the south. SO, with the Tigers in the front, the attack resumed! What had begun as a spoiling attck now resulted in a full-fledged offensive. As the German scouts neared Massicault, they reported hastily prepared postions manned by the survivors of 1st US Armored division.
