Prelude in the Swamp - The Matrix Games version of West Front

On the 27th of October 1944, Fieldmarshal Model launched a spoiling attack with 47th Corps, consisting of the 9th Panzer Division and the 15th Panzergrenadier Division, on the Allied right flank in Holland that was held by the 7th US Armored Division. It's aim was to ease the pressure on the withdrawing 15th Army, that had been fighting over the Scheldt Estuary over the previous month and was now forced to withdraw north of the Maas river. This scenario depicts the opening hours of the German attack, where under cover of dense fog the Germans attacked the positions of 87th Recon Squadron of the 7th Armored Division.
