Northeim Gap, 80km S of Hannover, Germany: [Best played against Human opponent] Facing chaos on both fronts, the German Army was reduced to reacting to one crisis after another in the closing weeks of World War II. Old played-out units were refitted at reduced strength and new formations were created from remnants of totally decimated divisions or by activating training and reserve units with little or no combat experience. These units were issued a mixture of whatever equipment was available from the rapidly declining production base. Just as the composition of these scratch units was unpredictable so was their quality. Some of the newly organized units proved to be quite deadly and still full of fight, especially when armed with Germany's finest tanks and tank destroyers. One such unit was Kampfgruppe Ettner equipped with a number of the dwindling supply of Tigers and King Tigers. As Task Force Hogan, spearheading the 3rd Armored Division, crossed the Leine River and moved east toward the Elbe River the American tankers suddenly found themselves in a swirling armored dogfight for the Northeim Gap with KG Ettner's panzers.
...really have to stick your neck out to win as the Americans....but still a great scenario IMHO...
Axis has a slight advantage if game is new to both players.
I think experienced allied players could even out the fight
