Germany, Spring 1945 (Best played as either Axis or Allies). The Allied forces finally fought their way to the gates of Germany. After having repelled the German offensive in the Ardennes last Winter, the regrouped and well reinforced troops are now ready to invade the Reich. The Germans have made some preparations along the Rhine River to delay the massive attack of the allies. With minefields, bunkers and road blockades, they hope to gain enough time to call everyone that's able to carry a weapon to join the Volkssturm Troops. Anyway, most of the Wehrmacht is destroyed, its soldiers are tired and have low moral to fight on, so there is little hope to stand this fight for long. Nevertheless, Adolf Hitler has ordered its people to fight man by man, defend every village by all costs, and cause as much damage as possible to the invaders. The last remains of the SS Divisions are expected to defend Berlin and the Fuhrer's Life, so the last really powerful parts of the German army are held back to secure the bare survival of Hitler and his regime. But with the heavy artillery fire of the Allied guns pounding the German soil, numberous air strikes destroying the cities and factories, it seems that the end of the Third Reich has come.
