Task Force 'West' at Troyes - The Matrix Games version of West Front

Troyes, France. 130km SE of Paris: [Best played as Allied] After the fall of Orleans the US 4th Armored Division continued its drive Eastward spearheading the advance of Patton's 3rd US Army. As part of XII Corps the 4th seized Sens and crossing of River Yonne on 21st August and Montargis on 23rd August. Combat Command A (CCA) Commanded by Col. Bruce C. Clarke had orders to seize Troyes and to secure crossings of the River Seine in that locality. CCA has been split into two columns. The northern column, TF Oden (LCol. Delk M. Oden) is to cross the Seine North of Troyes and seize high ground whilst the southern column, TF West (Maj. Arthur L. West Jr) is to seize Troyes itself and secure a crossing of the Seine within the environs of the city proper. The TF is to set off at first light on 26th August.
