Point 206 S of Ft. Capuzzo, 13km SW of Sollum, Egypt: [Best played as Allied] After receiving a shipment of new tanks with the arrival of the "Tiger Convoy," British General Wavell launched a series of counterattacks along the Egyptian/Libyan frontier. The first attack, Operation Brevity, achieved very little. Therefore a second scaled-up version, using divisions in the place of brigades and brigades in the place of battalions, was launched in mid-June. While the 4th Indian Division attacked Halfaya Pass and toward Sollum, the 7th Armoured Division swung through the desert to prevent German armor from reinforcing the defenders. In the late afternoon of 15 June, elements of the 4th Armoured Brigade were approaching Point 206 south of Ft. Capuzzo when they spotted a column of tanks from the 15th Panzer Division advancing from the south. Trailing clouds of dust, the 7th Royal Tank Regiment charged the surprised panzers. It was time to test how well the British battleaxe could cut through battle hardened German steel!
