December 23, 1944 (Best played against human opponent). On December 19, German forces approached the crossroads at Baraque-de-Fraiture. A hodge-podge of American defenders, centered around the remnants of the 106th Infantry Division's 589th Field Artillery Battalion (led by Major Arthur C Parker), repulsed the German probe, and continued to hold the vital crossroads for another three days. By the morning of the 23rd, elements of the 2SS Panzer Division had arrived at the scene in force, and at 1600 hours, launched what was to be the final attack against what had already come to be known as "Parker's Crossroads"

Played blind it's more challenging for the allies. However, I suspect a second time for the allied player a draw will be the most likely outcome.

The scenario depicts a german column advancing through heavily forested and snowy terrain to capture objective hexes located on strategic road junction hexes. Visibility is pretty good, so if one side gets it spotters up in the right places, he can inflict big damage with all the artillery (both sides get ample artillery).
Thus, what is of supreme importance in war is to attack the enemy's strategy.

Quite the fight for the Allies, I was happy to hold the Germans to a draw. The Allied Reups, were a day late, IMO. But, it was a good fight against a "rusty" Nort!
