Op Dragoon - War in the West

The invasion of South France (originally code named Anvil)was a point of contention between the Allies; not least because it took so many troops from the Armies in Italy. Originally much bigger in scope it was reduced in scale to provide more troops, aircraft, and landing craft for D-Day. Even though weakened by sending reinforcements to Normandy the Axis troops still pose a challenge.
