The Pointblank Directive of 14 June 943 set the priorities for the Allied Combined Bomber Offensive. This provided co-ordination between RAF Bomber Command and the US 8th Air Force in the prosecution of the strategic bombing campaign against Germany. With the US 8th Air Force now at acceptable levels the time to "reap the whirlwind" has arrived. (Air Only Campaign)
