Ocana 19 November 1809 - Variant scenario using gun sections and the alternative pdt that starts at 10am with the arrival of the French cavalry on the Spanish flank. Historically, the French cavalry caught the Spanish by surprise and inflicted heavy losses, so this scenario doesn't give the Spanish time to redeploy in anticipation of the attack. After driving a small force of French (Milhaud's 5 regiments of dragoons and Sebastiani's Polish infantry) out of Ocana on the 11 November, the Spanish army failed to prevent the French from concentrating their forces and, after failing to cross the Tagus, fell back to Ocana and rested while the French army advanced towards the town. While the cavalry were approximately equal in strength, if not in quality, the Spanish had more infantry, but would numbers be sufficient to off-set the superior quality of the French troops?
