The Lines of Torres Vedras - Massena's French army has arrived at Sobral with the intention of marching on Lisbon, yet unaware of the elaborate defensive lines that have been constructed to defend the area around the Portuguese capital. Historically, after a couple of minor actions at Sobral, Massena realized that he would stand no chance of breaking through the enemy lines and then sat down before them until his army starved. However, this scenario gives the French player the opportunity to attempt "the impossible". Might Massena have actually managed to crack the Lines of Torres Vedras if he'd decided to launch an attack?
