10-14 February 1814 - Variant - Intended to be played Head to Head - Uses 15 minute turns - see PDF in main folder called "BP15-Format" for more details. IMPORTANT: Check Fix and Release times for both sides. The armies are fixed during the evening and then release in the morning. The Allies have purposesly remained fixed longer than the French which will cause them to retire out of range of the French army each night. This alternate version assumes that Blücher decided to use the better road to the north and followed in the wake of Yorck's 1st Prussian Corps. As a result his forces are deployed out of the immediate range of Napoleon's army. SPECIAL RULE: Blücher's column may not deviate from its path for the entire first day and must move its full movement allowance each turn until it gets within 20 hexes of Château-Theirry. They must remain south of the Marne River the entire march distance and when they rest at the end of the day. This is to reflect their lack of communication with the Russian forces to the south. On the 5 AM turn of the second day this restriction is lifted and the Allied player is free to move them as he wishes.
