26 March 1814 - Historical - Intended to be played Head to Head - Also known as "The Last Victory of 1814" this action was the result of Napoleon's thrust to cut the lines of communication of the Hauptarmee. On the 25th of March Ney reported seeing "10,000 cavalry" near St. Dizier. This was Winzingerode's Corps and possibly other cavalry elements from the Army of Silesia (Langeron more than likely). Napoleon ordered an attack for the next day. He had Oudinot and a cavalry division make a flanking move to the south of the city, while the majority of the cavalry crossed the Marne further to the west. The rest of his Mobile Column followed behind. The Allies formed up in line of battle as the French crossed the river. The sight of so many French cavalry advancing on their position caused the Allied cavalry to break. Winzingerode's infantry attempted to escape to the north but many of them were ridden down. Oudinot and his wing crossed over to add in the final touches of "Last Victory."
