The Confederates could sit and wait pretty much behind Antietam Creek. There were not enough objectives and as the Confederate player I had no reason to go to the offensive. Confederate units were much better quality to Union. Anytime the Union attacked a couple of volleys from the Confederates sent them running. Frankly cavalry seems useless, it's too expensive to use in any offensive manner and even too expensive to risk running into Union forces for Recon. Even trying to harass supply is risky if they bump into infantry. Coming from the Nappy games, line movement appears too easy with little disruption, It seems wonky in general. Just my thoughts.
