4 June 1813 - Historical - Intended to be played Head to Head - After Hoyerswerda, Bülow retreated his forces to the north. With pressure coming on Cottbus from the southeast (Victor's II Corps) he spread out his entire command along a sixty mile front. Had Oudinot advanced he could have rolled up the entire Prussian command. Instead Bülow gathered in his entire command and retreated to Luckau. Oudinot advanced with his command to the city and found the Prussians drawn up in a defensive posture. After a short cannonade, Oudinot launched his columns at the city and the surrounding defensive features. Gaining a foothold into the city was not easy as the Allies had occupied the buildings. After a short fight the French were evicted. The Prussians then struck at the French right flank with cavalry. The French were driven back with the Prussians closing on their infantry columns which were attacking the city. The French infantry was repulsed and Oudinot called off the action. Intended to be played Head to Head.
