10 August 1808 - Historical - Intended to be played Head to Head or Solo as the Allied player vs. the AI (see RSW-Solo.pdf for Solo play victory levels) - The Finnish guerrilla campaign along the coast was well underway by this time and the Swedish generals sought to feed more fuel to the fire by ordering v.Dobeln and his 2nd Brigade to support the uprisings. The Russians, on the other hand, were trying to suppress the militia from rising into adjacent areas. The 2nd Brigade was ordered to hold Kauhajoki, a key road junction near Kristinestad, against the expected attacks of the Russians. Shepelov had replaced Orlov-Denisov and looked to drive the Swedish-Finnish forces back up the coast. Little did he know that he was vastly outnumbered. This scenario portrays the initial attacks by the Russians. Terrain note: the rough terrain in and around hex 47, 20 is fallen timber and is impassable but may be fired over.
