(H) - The advance of the Austrian Army brought them to the outskirts of Landquaid and its environs on the night of the 18th. By the dawn of the next day the soldiers of the Kaiser were shaking off the dampness of the night and forming up after a short breakfast. Meanwhile, Davout was organizing his own march. His men had to escape the trap that was being set for them. His routes led from Ratisbon to Abensberg to join with Lefebvre and the VII Corps. Now, with his columns on the march, the famous collision with the Austrians was about to occur. Can the Archduke trap Davout before he escapes to the south or will Davout's vaunted legions hold off the numerically superior Austrians and march to safety?
