Charles's plan for the 21st called for the seizing of the town of Abbach on the Danube and with it the presumed communications of the French III Corps with the remainder of the Army of Germany. Davout had other plans and with one division of Bavarians planned an attack of the Austrian left. His goal was to buy time until a possible reinforecement from Napoleon arrived. This smaller map version of sceanario #4 starts at 10am when Davout's men were just about to launch their attack. The Austrians have concentrated their forces for the defense. The III Corps under Hohenzollern was on the right bank and never reacted to the French attack as most of their forces were parcelled out to other operations. Some of them might be releases later in the battle.
