I believe the Austrians were fixed to start giving the french an edge.
French Major Victory is pretty obvious. Northern Austrian Forces are fixed for some time and the Southern forces can be encircled and crushed with the superior numbers of French there. If the French player doesn't make any big mistakes it's a homerun for him.
