9 October 1806 - 15 Minute Turns - (Historical) Bernadotte's advance guard came upon the town of Schleiz during the afternoon but were not sufficient in size to launch an attack. As soon as the lead elements of Drouet's division arrived they were able to drive out the defenders. Murat and Napoleon were both present with the former being his usual flamboyant self wishing to impress his Emperor by participating in a cavalry action. He lead the 4th Hussars into action but was repulsed three times by the Saxon and Prussian cavalry. The French infantry intervened and the Prussians continued to retreat. This was a minor action for both sides and thus didn't contribute greatly to the war except to prove Murat as rash as ever. Prussian losses may have been 500 men. The French losses were about 200. Intended for head to head play.
