16 October 1813 - Historical - Intended to be played Head to Head - The Battle of Möckern was the northern portion of the first day of the Battle of Leipzig. Fought between Blücher and Ney it tied down troops that otherwise could have been used in the south where Murat was dueling with the Army of Bohemia.

Takes a long time before a real fight starts

The Allies captured Mockern quickly and destroyed a lot of guns. The French fell back. On turn 40 it was still a major French victory. By turn 42 it had slipped to a draw.

The fight went down to the last turn from a French minor victory to a draw. Reinforcements arrive on scene in last few turns which helped turn the tide.

I enjoyed it as the Allies.

This is a difficult scenario for the Allies to win. They must move and secure victory points quickly and cause substantial damage. French are well lined up and while at a disadvantage numbers wise, they control the tempo of the game on the defensive.

I think the French can make a fist of it if they play a long game.

Difficult for French but not impossible
