16 October 1813 - Historical - Intended to be played Head to Head - Important: Uses 15 Minute Turns - This action depicts the opening of the action on the first day of the Battle of Leipzig on the southern front around the village of Wachau, defended by Victor's II Corps. The Allies under Eugene consisted of two Russian divisions and a Prussian brigade which followed in behind some cavalry. The Russian advance was stopped cold by artillery fire and a French counterattack drove them back. The Prussians pressed on into the village and the woods but were unable to hold the former. The action ended with the Prussians holding the woods but with not much support at hand. Can the Allied player out perform the historical outcome?
