29 August 1813 - Semi-Historical - Intended to be played Head to Head - There were many assaults on Danzig and counterattacks by the French garrison but few of them compare in numbers like the action on the 29th of August. The Allies made an all out assault on the positions on the hills and put together a large force to try and take them. General Rapp countered with most of the garrison. The result was a fierce fight but in the end the garrison had pushed the Russians back out of the position. The siege would see many other actions but none perhaps as large as this one. The abatis simulates the defenses on the hills (blockhouses and obstacles). Note: The Russian deployment is hypothetical but gives the players some idea of what the Allies were working with: lots of militia!
