26-27 August - What-If - Intended to be played Head to Head - The war has gone badly for the Allies. The Austrians have been backed up into their fortress city of Neumark and are facing siege from the French Emperor and his army. Hoping that the call for allies will not go unheeded the Hapsburg forces prepare for battle in hopes that reinforcements will arrrive in time! Special Notes: Catapult units for the French are represented by infantry units. They can be resupplied by wagons but their low strength value will ensure their eventual demise. They are powerful but more of a one, two, three or four shot act. There are French units that will "land" on the ramparts. Study the reinforcement schedule carefully. They have a 1 hex protection zone, will destroy the unit that is in their hex but are withdrawn on the next turn. They are a "one-shot" act as well. Potent but easily distracted by other events on the field of battle. There are several gates on the wall to represent where towers will try and put troops across to assault the walls. Use the 3D view to study the Citadel carefully for these locations. There are NO supply wagons in the game. Once a unit runs out of ammunition it has exhausted its ability to engage in offensive combat.
