14 June 1800 - Historical - Intended to be played Head to Head - Melas' third attempt to take Marengo was successful. He sent a column towards Castel Celriolo and then due south to flank the French right. The fighting was intense as Lannes' men tried their best to stem the tide but to no avail. With his men covering the retreat Victor's men retired to the vineyards near Spinetta. O'Reilly outflanked their left flank and forced the small outpost of La Stortiglione to surrender. Finally, the way was opened for the breakout to the east.
