A bird's eye view of the opening of this scenario will show the situation if Lee had not hurried into the Wilderness to interrupt the Federals' plan of campaign. Three columns, each a reinforced corps, are advancing toward Lee's vaunted works at Mine Run. From north to south are Sedgwick, Warren and Hancock, with Hancock having the mission of turning the Confederate south flank. Two CS corps, under Ewell and AP Hill, have occupied the defenses, and must hold the position until Longstreet and Anderson arrive to execute a counter-attack. It promises to be a long day for the Rebels...Scripted
