The Historical version of the battle for Wavre, June 18, 1815 - After a sluggish pursuit Grouchy has finally caught up with the Prussian Army. His leading Corps, under the command of Vandamme, have already committed to the attack of the town and an attempt to take and cross the two stone bridges. Thielemann and the bulk of his III Korps has been detached to guard the town and protect the Prussian rear.

On right wing bridge Prussian Cavalry are all detached from their commander on the extreme left rendering them almost useless and there is no artillery presence leaving the poor quality Prussian Line Brigade that is present at the mercy of vastly superior numbers of French Infantry and artillery.
