Crusade: 1st Crusade
Scenario Briefing: After nine months of besieging the city of Antioch, and with a large Muslim army only days away, the Crusade to "liberate" Jerusalem looked doomed to fail. Stephen of Blois decided to abandon his vow and left the siege only the day before. However, Bohemond had a plan. For months he negotiated with one of the defenders of Antioch. He was an Armenian Christian that had converted to Islam whose name was Firouz. After promises of wealth, he finally agreed to lower a rope to the waiting crusaders.
Sixty men, including Bohemond, would ascend the tower and overpower the nearby wall defenders, then open a postern (hidden) gate. To do this, climb down the tower (15,11) and enter the gate hex (13,10). This will open the gate. After the gate has been opened, use your extra movement, provided for this scenario, and move out of the way. With a small gate now open, Godfrey and Robert II of Flanders can enter the city with 700 men and proceeded to capture Antioch.
The time is 3:50am and Bohemond has scaled the wall, near the Tower of Two Sisters, with 60 of his best men. It is dark and most defenders are sleeping and unaware of the coming danger. Your task is to kill all the defenders you encounter and then remove as many men as possible through the exit hex located at (28,0). You have only 12 turns, so move quickly.
Note: Tancred and his men are fixed for the entire scenario. Their presence is for reference only.
Recommended Rules: [Default]
Intended to be played as the Crusader Alliance forces against the garrison of Islamic Alliance A/I.
